Our Love Story
Craig and I met through Match.com. Craig decided to give it (Match) one last shot, and my then 17 year old daughter, Amber, thought I needed to meet someone. Without my knowledge, she registered me on Match.com and picked Craig out of the line-up and announced he was who I should date. We began chatting and eventually decided to have a first date. That year the world was predicted to end December 21, 2012, so I told Craig I would go out with him the following Saturday IF the world didn't end. We all woke on December 22nd, so we had our first date. We sat at Ruby Tuesday's in Fayetteville for 3 hours and talked over a glass of water. The rest is history--several wonderful dates followed.
The Proposal
Craig surprised me with a dinner proposal in his home in Fayetteville. He initially told me we were going out to dinner but later announced that the restaurant was only taking reservations for New Year's, and we couldn't get in. So, he ordered take out and set dinner up in his dining room. Once I arrived at his house, he had a beautiful hand written letter waiting for me with dinner. As I finished the letter, he went down on bended knee and asked me to be his wife. I was completely surprised. And, to top it off, there was a camera hidden in his golf bag in the foyer recording the whole thing! A beautiful surprise and wonderful way to bring in the new year...
