Mr. & Mrs. Tim and Cathy Byrd of Farmington are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel E. Byrd, to David P. Hurd of Monroe, La. Grandparents of the bride are Joyce & the late Jimmie Williams and Harold & the late Connie Byrd, all of Fayetteville. David is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Paul and Cathy Hurd of Monroe. Grandparents of the groom are Dr. Richard & Joy Vines of Monroe and Vicki & the late Robert Hurd of Muskogee, Okla., and the late Carolyn Hurd of Hot Springs. The bride is a 2012 graduate of the University of Arkansas with a B.S. in education and a 2013 graduate of the UofA with a M.A.T. degree. She is a teacher at Williams Elementary. The groom is a 2013 graduate of the UofA with a B.A. in Biology. He is continuing his education at the UofA. The couple has a March wedding planned in Fayetteville.
